DARK-SKINNED IMMIGRANTS TO CANADA URGED TO TAKE VITAMIN D SUPPLEMENTS: Canadian doctors and nutritionists are urging dark-skinned immigrants coming to Canada to supplement with vitamin D in order to stay healthy. VITAMIN D REDUCES DIABETES RISK BY 43 PERCENT: A team from Warwick Medical School in the U.K. has found that people who maintain healthy vitamin D levels are 43 percent less likely to get heart disease or diabetes.
